SOUND TRANSIT LINK LIGHT RAIL PROJECT, SECTION C755

Seattle, Washington

This project consists of the Sound Transit Link Light Rail Project, Section C755 and includes 4.6 miles of elevated guideway structure. The precast segmental elevated guideway consists mostly of 120’ long simple spans erected using span-by-span construction with an overhead gantry. The 7’ deep box girder utilized both external and internal tendons. The single precast segmental concrete box girder is 26′-6″ wide and carries two tracks of light rail. In addition to the 120′ long simple spans, there are longer continuous spans erected using balanced cantilever construction to span over the Duwamish River and Interstate 5.

Corven Engineering provided Construction Engineering support and integrated shop drawings for the precast superstructure segments.
